The week in Sligo!

Sligo is one of those places that never stops looking beautiful no matter what time of the day or season. It's probably the best area in the mission, because of a lot of reasons really.
1. The flat is the second best in the mission.
2. We have a car
3. Food after church each Sunday provided by members. and it's A LOT of food.
4. the members work with the missionaries to help find people
4.5. and a lot of service with those members
5. We have access to Lidl and Tesco, which are the supermarkets of Europe. and all the stuff they sell is mad cheap. a box of cereal here is around .90 C to around 1.10.
( also strange thing they have all the name brand candy bars, but they don't taste that good here. a milky way bar will cost around 1.25 euro here but you can get the off brand milky way here that comes in a 6 pack for .70 C. I don't understand. They do that with twix too. 10 twix bars for .90 C. the off brand list of things go on and on. The bakery at Lidl is so delicious too!)
6. Our flat is a 5 minute walk from the city center. Strategically the best spot you can have a flat in this whole area.
7. The scenery. The only reason people come to sligo is day trips to the nearby hikes, the beaches, etc. This whole area is a tourist's day dream. Luckily there is also a university and an IT school so we still get YSA.
8. My companion has been out for almost 16 months now. He says Sligo is the best place to Chap (knock on doors) in the whole mission. So we do that in the evenings most of the time, after the city center dies down.

But overall the work is moving forward. We had our own "4th floor last door" miracle last Sunday, and we actually made a ton of QA's for this upcoming week, so we just might have a few good lessons. That's the last good thing I think about this area. It's on of the areas that just has everything. In this area you can find, teach, and baptize. it's a lot more difficult here than other places, but that makes it all the more worthwhile. It means the only way to get work done is by Obedience. Very diligent obedience to the mission rules, and God will bless you with those who are ready. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions about the work! You all are amazing people!

Love, Elder Fisk
