Another week in Sligo!

Super good week actually! We've received several miracles from God this week. One of them was we received a referral from Church Headquarters of a guy named James who went online and told us where he was, he wanted to meet. We meet with this guy (lives an hour away mind you) and he takes a Book of Mormon, says he'll read it. He'd get baptized if he came to know it was true, yeah it's the same kind of thing we get when we meet with people all the time. So we head back, kind of feeling lame since we were pretty sure he was just a flake. So we move on with the day. On our way back, We get ANOTHER referral from church headquarters. This time it's a guy who lived in Spain, and had been meeting with the missionaries there, but had just moved here. Then 5 minutes later we get another text to call him immediately. Then right after the text we get a call from the Mission home and are told by them that we need to call this guy. So we take it as a sign maybe we need to contact this guy RIGHT NOW. We text, call, and email him, nothing. We have his address, so we are going to stop by next week (this guy lives in County Mayo, also about an hour away from us). So we get a few appointments set up with some people on the street, basically normal day, then we get back to the flat at the end. at around 9:02, we get a text message from James saying he read the first 18 chapters of 1 Nephi and want's to meet up! Dang that's some cool stuff.
I don't have a lot of pictures this week. we didn't get to do a whole lot last week, but I'll have a ton for next week. These are pictures of the town center where we walk around for hours and hours every day.

The Holy Neck Line

Ladies and gentlemen it's been SUNNY here. The week came and went. it was really really quick, which is good I guess. I finally had some bucket list events happen. One of which I want to share with you all. We started by approaching this guy, who as soon as he sees our badge, says
"OHH no tanks lads. i've already seen the light."
companion: "Oh that's awesome! have you heard of the book of Mormon before"
guy "Oh yeah, mormons? I call it the book of Morons"
*grabs newspaper from some guy just walking by
*rips it open to swimsuit model
Guy:"lads, that's the light, that's what you should be lookin at"
*I'm dying of laughter.
I have been waiting for that line to get pulled for so long.
So this guy is really mad and just being a grump and so forth. He eventually storms off. The guy he took the newspaper from is in shock. He walks up to us and asks us if we are alright. We get talking to him. He actually is interested in hearing what we have to say so we set up an appointment with him for tomorow.
Funny stuff isn't it?
ok so the picture button will not work for the life of me.
ok got it to work... Silly stuff.
so these were all taken at Glencar Waterfall. about 10 minutes drive from the city.

Hazelwood Forest!! Pretty average other than that

This week has been pretty average for the week. We did have a progressing investigator drop us super hard out of no where but that happens. Last P-day we went to Hazelwood Forest to take pictures and enjoy the good weather that day. LOTS of pictures today boys and girls. And yes I got to skype with my mother, with was absolutely amazing. I loved being able to see my family, and let them know I'm doing good.  I've got many good stories to tell, But they are being preserved till the time is right. I have many good things to say about this place, but I do want to let everyone know that being a missionary is worth it. To Adam who leaves soon, Good luck friend, and to all who have not yet decided to serve, I would encourage all of you to make that decision now. It becomes much more difficult the longer you wait to serve. I know this because I've been through it, and I know many many others who agree with me. It is hard work, more difficult than most anything you have likely done before, but the reward is in Heaven, and on Earth. It's the one time in your life you can know 100% for sure that It's where God wants you to be.

Enjoy the hot temps and the good weather everyone!
