Ok so it's been a hot minute

Well I haven't updated home since I got a third companion in vegas so this is going to be interesting.

So I stayed in Palmhurst and Westcliff wards with Elder Ellis and Elder Settle. That week flew by. Being in a trio is absolutely fantastic especially if you have companion unity between all of you. Never a dull moment and we always had something to talk about. The only downside was losing a bit of space in the apartment. But that was just a minor inconvenience.

My flight was on Monday morning in Vegas at around 9:00am I think, and I landed in Edinburgh at 10:30am on Tuesday morning. That was an interesting change. And my trainer picked me up from the airport! That was great to think back on old times. Oh how things have changed since those days.

I had a few lessons with them while I was waiting for President MacDonald to get home from interviews, and when he did, we talked for a good long while. He took me out for some fish and chips and showed me the street that diagon ally is named after. We chatted a bit more than I was on a train to my area. I was originally assigned to Paisley but then it was changed to Kilmarnock. Kilmarnock is a old town filled with pretty decent people so far. I got there for Burns Night, which is probably the closest thing to a Scotland Thanksgiving as you are going to get. All the missionaries had the evening off, and there was a ward party, so we went. It was a great time. I had haggis for the first time that day!

Since then we've met quite a few ward members, and been to a few surrounding towns looking for some good old investigators.

I'll have some serious pictures next week. this time is not much.

The work moves forward!

Returned to the Scotland/Ireland Mission

Tyler has completed his long journey back to the Scotland/Ireland mission!  He sent me an email very early this morning confirming he was safe and sound at the mission home in Edinburgh, Scotland.  He will resume his weekly emails next week.

Drumroll

This week is the drum roll for sure. Since I'm leaving next week, I was put in a trio companionship. Now it's me, Elder Settle, and Elder Ellis. We are also in a car for the week.

I'm a bit sick, mostly just my nose is stuffy, but other than that I'm really good. It's raining hardcore outside and it has since yesterday, which is a huge change from what it usually is, dry and sunny. I'm pretty sure it's just God getting me prepped for the next 16 months.

We are seeing very good things in our area. We are viewing miracles each and every day. Relying on the strength from the Gospel of Jesus Christ allows us to lift and carry burdens we otherwise would not be able to bear.

While I havent as of yet been able to see with my own eyes just how much the Gospel can change someone's life, I know it's changed mine.

I suppose next time you get an email from me it will be in Scotland/northern Ireland. Until then, send any questions, or anything really! I'd love to answer them.

Added since original post:

We had a district council meeting. I borrowed another elders suit jacket because I was on exchanges that day and didn't pack the suit.

Also, our ward mission leader gave us a loaf of bread.

And my district leader had a Lego missionary set.

It's all good

This week has been silly.

We had exchanges on Friday and we were on the struggle bus. I was partnered with Elder Armstrong from Washington. Both bikes we had broke down during the day. His back tire fell off, his chain came off several times, and my left pedal crank fell off.

We've spent a ton of this week teaching, which has been really good, but we haven't had a whole lot of time to find investigators.

I don't have a whole lot to report on, this week has gone by fast. I've heard they made an adjustment to the endowment session.

This Tuesday elder Stevenson of the quorum of the twelve is coming to teach our mission. It's going to be good I'm sure.

Till next week!
